Before joining Westminster Synagogue as Community Care and Volunteer Manager, Sarah dedicated 7 years to building and growing a charitable organisation in Bolivia that put community at the center of the healing process for women who had been through abuse and who were rebuilding their lives. She is passionate about the way that both giving and receiving in communities can be a transformative experience and how communities can be empowered to build together from the bottom up, instead of always from the top down.
She tries to bring love and kindness to each interaction with each person she comes across and believes that love is not a finite resource but something that grows exponentially when it is given.
As Chesed lead, she hopes to bring compassion, care and lightness to the role and to nurture a sense of belonging in a community that is committed to seeing, hearing and being there for each other.
She feels deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve Westminster Synagogue, as she has herself been a member since she was a toddler!
Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Sarah, or if you feel moved to discuss being a volunteer with Westminster synagogue, please get in touch. Sarah will be pleased to have you on the team!
