Marriage

If a husband and wife are worthy, the Divine Presence abides with them.” Talmud Tractate Sotah 17a

The Hebrew word for marriage is Kiddushin, meaning holiness. The act of joining two people together as partners for life is one of the most sacred and beautiful in our tradition. We would like to be involved in your wedding with you and to do all we can to make your day as special and wonderful as possible.

Those marrying under the auspices of the Westminster Synagogue must first become members of the community, joining well in advance of their wedding day. For a wedding to take place in the Synagogue Sanctuary at Kent House or officiated over by a Rabbi at another venue, both parties must be Jewish.

If you would like to speak with our Rabbi about your plans, please call the Synagogue office or send an email to rabbi@westminstersynagogue.org.
