Gary  joined Westminster Synagogue as Executive Director in 2017, shortly before Rabbi Benji became part of the community. Since then, he has cherished being part of such a caring and engaged congregation, both professionally and personally—especially when attending with his two young children, aged 5 and 8.

As Executive Director, Gary oversees all operational aspects of the synagogue, from strategy and development to HR, governance, finance, fundraising, and security. Recently, he has also been closely involved in the team exploring options for the synagogue's building refurbishment.

Gary has dedicated his entire career to the not-for-profit sector, holding various leadership roles and contributing as a lay leader in several charities. He was a founding board member of Mitzvah Day and currently serves as a Trustee of a Jewish Youth Movement.

Reflecting on his role, Gary shares, "I love being part of such a caring and engaged community and seeing how devoted so many of our members are through the invaluable work they do across the whole community."

Gary warmly invites anyone in the community to reach out to him at any time—whether to connect, share an idea, get involved, or discuss anything on their mind.
