Mitzvah Day is the UK’s largest faith-led day of social action. Over 55,000 people around the world, come together to give our time, to make a difference to the community around us.

This year we will be hosting three activities;

  1. Collecting food items outside a local supermarket to donate toThe Trussell Trust. Please volunteer for 2 hour shifts between 10:00am-4:00pm
  2. Forming a litter-picking group to clean up one of our local neglected public areas.  11:00am-1:00pm, litter grabbers and gloves provided, but dress warm!
  3. Encouraging everyone coming into Kent House the week before and after Mitzvah Day to bring an item or two to donate;
    1. Toiletries to donate to the Marylebone Project, who  provide a life-changing service for homeless women.  Key items are shampoo, conditioner, soap, make up, sanitary products.
    2. Specific food items to donate to The Trussell Trust, who provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship. Key items are tinned soup, tinned veg, pasta sauce, jam, coffee, long life fruit juice, washing up liquid, laundry powder.  Full list here.
