Join us for our cosy Chanukah Celebration on Friday 27th December! Bring some food and festive cheer for an evening with your synagogue family. Enjoy doughnuts, chocolate coins, and the joy of celebrating together.

There will be a chance to cook on site if you prefer or join us to enjoy Chanukah crafts and games for all ages.

Let’s kindle the festive lights and welcome Shabbat with a beautiful evening service.

Share in a communal meal and explore the deeper meaning of Chanukah through interactive learning.

Share your Chanukah Story
This year, we invite you to bring an item, prayer, song, or memory that symbolises Chanukah to you. Share its significance during our evening to help illuminate the beauty and meaning of this festival for our whole community.

Completely Member-led Potluck Dinner
Our amazing kitchen and house teams work hard all year round and are taking some well-earned rest for the holidays, so this event will be completely member-led, with Rabbi Kamila. As such, do make sure you bring something to share with the rest of the group (this could be something simple as a pizza, doughnuts or homemade cookies). We are going for a ‘family feel dinner’, so no pressure to cook a Michelin star dish, but do get in touch if you have any questions. Just remember – it needs to be fish or vegetarian dishes, and they cannot contain any nuts.

This is a family style dinner, so don't feel pressured to create something spectacular. You can cook your dish at home, at the synagogue from 4:00pm on the day, or even buy some doughnuts on the way. We normally say your dish should be big enough for 6-8 people, to make sure we have a good spread. 

Let Louise know if you would like to talk anything through, before 20th December, and she will be happy to help. In the confirmation email there will also be some guidelines to help.

Please ensure your dish does not contain nuts and is Vegetarian or Fish (No Poultry, Shellfish or Meat allowed)
On the day we'll ask everyone to fill out a card for their dish with allergens.
