We understand that not everyone has the capacity to commit to a team or project during the year. Many of our members therefore take advantage of our ad hoc volunteering opportunities throughout the year.:
Cleaning our Silver
In preparation for the High Holy Days, a dedicated team of volunteers work away to ensure that our Judaica shines in our services. If you’re able to join for a couple hours of cleaning, please contact our Synagouge Office.
Picking and preparing apples
For years we’ve been fortunate that Sylvie has brought members of the community to an orchid to ensure we have fresh, delicious apples for Rosh Hashanah. If you would be interested in picking apples, or helping us slice them for the community to enjoy, please contact our Synagouge Office.
Envelope stuffing
Throughout the year, we post various publications to members, such as our beloved Westminster Quarterly Magazine. It is a massive help to our Office Staff when members are able to come into the building to stuff and frank the envelopes, whilst enjoying some tea and biscuits. If you would like to be added to a list of people we can count on, please contact our Synagouge Office.
Specialised skillsets
Our members are trained across a range of fields, and we’re always grateful for when they can lend their skills to help our Synagogue. Whether it’s assistance in Communications, HR, Fundraising, Legal Advice or more, we really appreciate members’ sharing their expertise. If you would like to share your skills to help strengthen our community, please contact our Synagouge Office.
