We are proud to offer a special opportunity for people who want to develop their skills as readers of Torah. Our most sacred text is full of challenges, ambiguities, provocations – and inspiration! In these sessions we will reinforce replicable ways of reading to derive personal and relevant meaning. We will read closely, bringing our questions to the text, and we will build a toolkit to derive moving responses. We will always focus on next week’s Torah portion to get you ready for the week. For this course, we will study the last two sections of Barmidbar (Numbers) and Devarim (Deuteronomy).
This short course is for you if you can attend two or three of the sessions and want to access Torah without relying on the Rabbi’s sermon. We are looking to limit the number of learners for these popular sessions to allow for deeper, sustained interaction and study. We ask that you commit to at least two out of the three sessions in order to confirm your place.
