As we read the Torah, there may be up to seven people called up for this Mitzvah. The service leader or rabbi may explain what is occuring in the Torah portion ahead of each aliyah (call up) in their own words. The person who blesses the Torah, should stand at the Bima whilst the Torah is being read. Blessing the Torah will always be read (or chanted) in Hebrew.
Once the Torah readings are complete, the Warden should take the Scroll and sit on the bench, whilst members dress the Torah during the Haftarah Reading.
